CNI & Infoblox Team Up for Giving Tuesday

CNI teamed up with our partner, Infoblox, to bring a new meaning to Giving Tuesday. On Tuesday, November 29, 2022, we volunteered at Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia to assist with their Neighborhood Revitalization program. Habitat for Humanity is a global nonprofit housing organization where their vision is of a world where everyone has a decent place to live. Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia builds strength, stability, and self-reliance through shelter.

Habitat for Humanity Philadelphia’s Neighborhood Revitalization Program improves the quality of life for the homeowners and future homeowners in the community. Listening to neighborhood needs, Habitat works with residents and key cross-sector stakeholders to develop solutions that align with neighborhood aspirations. CNI and Infoblox participated in Habitat Philadelphia’s Adirondack Chair Build. This program has volunteers build, sand, stain, and assemble Adirondack chairs to be used in community gardens, homes, and parks. This initiative specifically impacts the Strawberry Mansion community in the city, in which Habitat Philadelphia is beginning a 21-home build.

Habitat Philadelphia’s experts taught us volunteers how to properly and safely build the chairs in their Philadelphia warehouse. Not only did we learn the skills needed to build the chairs, but we also learned about Habitat’s other programs outside of the Neighborhood Revitalization program. Their Homeownership Program allows families in need to have a decent place to live to build brighter futures for themselves and their families. The Home Repair Program team tackles home repairs alongside Philadelphia homeowners to improve their quality of life by keeping their homes warm, safe, and dry. Lastly, the Habitat ReStore allows buyers to get new or gently used home improvement items below retail prices for their homes. The ReStore accepts donations of home appliances, used furniture, building materials, and so much more.
